ON A HEALTHIER NOTE....
REGULAR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY IS GOOD FOR YOUR BRAIN.  RECENT STUDIES HAVE SHOWN THAT PEOPLE WHO DO SIMPLE EXERCISES ON A REGULAR BASIS ARE BETTER ABLE TO MAKE DECISIONS THAN PEOPLE WHO AREN'T PHYSICALLY ACTIVE.  MAKE YOURSELF THIS PROMISE..."  I PROMISE TO KEEP LIVING AS THOUGH I EXPECT TO LIVE FOREVER.  NOBODY GROWS OLD FROM MERELY A NUMBER OF YEARS.  PEOPLE GROW OLD BY DESERTING THEIR IDEAS.  YEARS MAY WRINKLE THE SKIN, BUT TO GIVE UP INTEREST, WRINGLES THE SOUL".

WE ARE SO EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE OUR GOLDEN SOLUTIONS NEWSLETTER.  CALL THE OFFICE ON HOW TO OBTAIN YOUR COPY.  YOU WILL FIND IT FULL OF FUN AND FACT, NEWS AND UP TO DATE INFORMATION ON WHAT IS GOING ON IN YOUR COMMUNITY.

Driving:  Independence or Danger?
We Americans love our cars.  It is a sign of independence and adulthood at age 16 and at 90.  Even when driving can be very difficult.  The COA operates our Seniors On The Go Program.  We pride ourselves on helping people to be able to live on their own by accommodating their need to get around the county to necessary destinations.  This is a service that is free of charge, but donations are gladly welcomed.  For many, using the SOG program is a way to maintain their independence.  Many seniors tell us they don't know what they would do without our drivers.  Contact us for a SOG application.

Hurricane season is here...are you ready?  The 2007 hurricane forecast now anticipates 17 named storms forming int he Atlactic basin between June 1 and November 30th.  9 of the 17 storms are predicted to become hurricanes, and of those 9, 5 are expected to develop into intense or major hurricanes (category 3-4-5) with sustained winds of 111mph or greater.  It is important that you are prepared for a hurricane not when it is about to strike but before.  Planning ahead is essential.  Call the office for information on what to do to get yourself prepared.          941-627-2177
